We have a robust Microsoft Teams feature set built into the Workspace app LTSR that will remain the same throughout the lifecycle of the LTSR client with quality and bug fixes. Note: we recommend that organizations wanting continuous access to the latest features leverage the Current Releases of the Workspace app.

Citrix Receiver LTSR 4.9 users can seamlessly update to Citrix Workspace app 1912 LTSR. As long as you are not looking at using the browser content redirection feature, there should be no impact. If you launch SaaS and Web based apps from Citrix Workspace app, these apps will be launched using Citrix Secure Browser service (due to the absence of Citrix Embedded Browser).

Citrix Workspace app 1912 LTSR does NOT include Citrix embedded browser. However, Citrix Workspace app 2002 does include Citrix embedded browser. There is no other difference.

I updated from Citrix Workspace app 1911 to Citrix Workspace app 1912 LTSR. What happens to the Citrix embedded browser component which was installed?
If you update from a previous CR release of Citrix Workspace app to Citrix Workspace app 1912 LTSR, the embedded browser component will be uninstalled. This will cause the Browser Content Redirection feature to stop working. Web and SaaS based application will not be launched in the embedded browser. These apps will launch using the Citrix Secure Browser Service.
