Hi all,
As an emacs user majority of the time, I got used to pressing C-x C-s for saving files, and frequently makes this mistake in vim, and turns on the ^X mode. However, unlike in linux, where I can quit the ^X mode by pressing esc (or in fact any key), the vim on my mac hangs when I am working in X11. Vim behaves correctly in terminal.app though. Does anyone have an idea on what is causing this? And any solutions?
Cheers!

Mac Vim Setup
I have Mac Pro, with OS X 10.9.4 (can't upgrade to Yosemite yet), and I'm trying to build vim7.4 with gui-support, or get any kind of gui-support. My current vim is version 7.3, I'm guessing, that'. The original vim (checkout from vim official Subversion repository) only provides a Classic/Carbon based GUI for Mac OS X users, it lacks some important features and does not give us the best GUI experiences.
